Don't be put off by the title of the program.  Plein Air Portugal.  Possibly means more to the plein air painters out there, but if you think about it - we photographers who enjoy observing the natural world - don't we shoot a plein air?

The iphone.

I've been experimenting with my iphone 5-s.  Being late to the world of smart phones, I was skeptical of the camera abilities.  That changed very quickly.   It's been a fun exploration - one that is just beginning.

Here are a few of the latest ones.  Currently, they're being printed at 5" x 7".  I'm thinking of going even smaller, but for now, the 5 x 7 is working for me.

Hard working women

A series I began in Portugal last summer.  There's more to see/explore/discover in Travanca do Monte than the amazing landscape.  These women continue to work the land the way their ancestors have done for centuries.
