South Florida

As some of you may know, I've been spending a lot of time in South Florida the past 3 years.  To keep myself sane, I have discovered places of interest to photograph.  Sometimes, oftentimes, the weather is so lousy, I'm confined to the apartment, where I satisfy my urge to photograph by looking out the window.

I have been spending a lot of time in South Florida.  When I have an hour or so to

spare, I go to Wakodahatchee Wetlands or Green Cay - two nature preserves

in Delray Beach.  It's a place to walk, to observe, to be at peace.

Portugal, Summer 2016

Don't be put off by the title of the program.  Plein Air Portugal.  Possibly means more to the plein air painters out there, but if you think about it - we photographers who enjoy observing the natural world - don't we shoot a plein air?

The iphone.

I've been experimenting with my iphone 5-s.  Being late to the world of smart phones, I was skeptical of the camera abilities.  That changed very quickly.   It's been a fun exploration - one that is just beginning.

Here are a few of the latest ones.  Currently, they're being printed at 5" x 7".  I'm thinking of going even smaller, but for now, the 5 x 7 is working for me.

Not very spring-like in NYC.  We had a taste - it went away - now we're left with ????

Hard working women

A series I began in Portugal last summer.  There's more to see/explore/discover in Travanca do Monte than the amazing landscape.  These women continue to work the land the way their ancestors have done for centuries.

Time to think about summer. Yes - it's only February - but isn't it nice to think about summer?
